About Us

The 2019 launch of Uzima Fitness Apparel was the culmination of a lifelong love of

health, fitness, and competition. The seed was planted while completing the

Presidential Fitness Test's mile run in a middle school physical education class in

the late 1980's and blossomed into a life full of physical activity. I often share with

friends how regular exercise balances and centers me. The Swahili word Uzima has

several meanings including vitality, health, and the phrase 'full of life'. What a

perfect word to describe our community and brand. Our deepest desire is not just

to provide quality and affordable fitness apparel but to create a community where

fitness lovers of all levels and experiences can come to learn from, share with, and

cheer for one another.
